Lactulose SIBO Breath Test (3 Hours)
Description:
This simple, non-invasive gastrointestinal test identifies bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine, commonly known as SIBO. SIBO is a frequent cause of chronic gastrointestinal issues, such as IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), bloating, gas, diarrhoea, constipation, and abdominal pain. Normally, bacterial levels in the small intestine are low, but when they increase, they disrupt the mucosal lining and microvilli responsible for nutrient absorption. This can lead to various health issues and symptoms.
This test can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Results:
SIBO Breath Test results are received within 2-6 days of posting sample. Test results are sent to the clinic. We recommend an appointment with one of our gut health specialist to go through the results and come up with an appropriate treatment. If you feel equipped to interpret results yourself and do not need our help with treatment, please email or call us and we will forward the completed test results to you. If you need an appointment, book in at a time after results have been received.
Note:
Test kit must be posted out to you and cannot be picked up from the clinic. Once ordered you will be invoiced for the test and once paid the test kit will be posted out to you.
